Different Currency Scenario

What happens if I have different currencies on Shopify and Etsy?

Let's learn what will happen if you have two different currencies on Shopify and Etsy and you send your products to Etsy through Etsy Integration & Sync.

The default listing currency in Etsy is USD. But many users might have a different currency on Shopify such as CAD, Eur, and others.  So, what will happen in such cases when you have a different currency on Shopify and you want to send your products to Etsy through Etsy Integration & Sync?

For example:
The currency in Shopify is CAD and the shop currency on the admin end of Etsy is CAD as well but the listing currency on the Etsy front end is USD by default.
I have a product priced 50 CAD on Shopify and I want to send it to Etsy through Etsy Integration & Sync by following these simple steps
So what'll happen when that product is uploaded is, the price on the Etsy admin section will be 50 CAD with no change. However, on the front end where customers can order the product, it will be different.  Since you list in a currency other than your bank account currency, we will do a currency conversion with a 2.5% fee added to the current market rate. So, the price will be around 41 USD.
Users can change their shop listing currency to  USD at any time to avoid this conversion.
